Mind in Bradford is looking for an exceptional and committed individual to join the Leadership team as a Service Manager for our Guideline service. This role is key to the successful delivery of our new strategy, and purpose, which is to promote mental well-being and empower and help people experiencing mental health problems to manage and work towards recovery and fulfilment.

The Service Manager will oversee a team of dedicated staff and volunteers who have experience and passion for delivering the best possible service. They generally work from home for this 365-day-a-year helpline which is open from 12 noon to 9pm. The Service Manager will take overall responsibility for the development and delivery of Mind in Bradford’s Guide-Line telephone helpline service. This service provides advice and guidance for residents of Bradford, Craven, Airedale and Wharfedale. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of line managing, ideally within a health or social care setting. You should be very comfortable working with data, have excellent literacy skills, and be able to establish positive relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. You must be able to work flexibly as the role requires.

Mind in Bradford are looking for an exceptional and committed individual to join the Leadership team as a Service Manager for our Sanctuary service. This role is key to the successful delivery of our new strategy, and our purpose, which is to promote mental well-being and empower and help people experiencing mental health problems to manage and work towards recovery and fulfilment.

The Service Manager will take overall operational responsibility for the development and delivery of our award-winning and innovative crisis support service. This service is an evening offer as part of the district’s Safe Spaces initiative, an alternative to A&E and clients are referred by the First Response crisis support line.

You will oversee a team of committed mental health practitioners who offer mostly one-to-one crisis support to clients attending pre-booked appointments at our city centre head office. The Service Manager will provide leadership, effective management, supervision and support. They will help Mind in Bradford to continue to be a key and respected organisation within the system of Mental Health and Wellbeing provision in the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven communities.

Peer Support Worker - Intensive Home Treatment Team 

Location: Based at the BDCFT IHTT service based at Lynfield Mount Hospital and intervention will be provided within the local community. 

Responsible to: Intensive Home Treatment Team Leader, supported by manager at host organisation

Hours of work: Part-time 22.5 hours per week  

Salary: 18,745 FTE per annum pro rata

Contract: Fixed term contract until 30th April. Available as a secondment

Background and Context

There are not many people who can say that their job changes and saves lives. At Mind in Bradford and the Cellar Trust we can. We are two local mental health charities which have been delivering services in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven for many years but we are always looking for new ways to innovate – finding more and different ways to support the people who need us.

In partnership with Airedale General Hospital and Bradford Teaching Hospitals, this winter we are building on our Safe Space work to deliver additional peer support for people who frequently use A&E due to emotional distress. This will help to ensure that people can get the right support at the right time, as well as helping to raise awareness of alternatives to A&E. 

We are looking for a part-time Peer Support Worker to deliver this ground breaking work and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will have experience of delivering peer support, be passionate about mental health and committed to partnership working. This is a short-term contract so we need individuals to start as quickly as possible.
