Head of Income Generation

  • Do you want to work for a charity that makes a positive difference to people across the district supporting them with their mental health and wellbeing?
  • Do you have experience of fundraising and income generation within the charity sector?

We are looking for an ambitious senior fundraiser to lead with sustaining and developing our income from statutory funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate and individual donors while setting and delivering a bold but realistic plan for growing our charitable income.

You will lead a team comprising a Fundraising and Business Development Manager and a Workplace Training Lead, working closely with colleagues in Marketing and Communications as part of the wider Business Development Team. You will be someone who has proven experience of leading successful fundraising teams or programmes, providing inspiring leadership to grow our unrestricted income to support our ambitions.

Your role will focus on the day to day activities of developing new funding opportunities and revenue, building partnerships, and ensuring we have a long-term, strategic approach to developing our corporate and community fundraising activities. You will personally drive the development of our growing work with trusts & foundations as we continue to diversify our fundraising activity.

Crucially your experience around bid writing and statutory income will see you act as the organisation’s focal point for our commissioned activity work; combining strong project management, excellent organisational skills, superb time management, a persuasive manner and a keen eye for detail to lead our internal bid teams to successful outcomes.

You will also provide operational and strategic leadership to our new training function which aims to both create happy healthy workplaces across Bradford District and Craven, while supporting and enabling our wider income generation efforts.

The role will appeal to those who have:

  • Significant experience of fundraising and income generation within the charity sector.
  • Experience of leading on securing significant grants and contracts from a range of funders (statutory and voluntary).
  • Experience of leading and managing fundraisers with a range of specialisms.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write successful persuasive and compelling bids and tenders.
