How can Nature in Mind provide support?
Nature in Mind provides nature-based group and one-to-one support for adults experiencing long-lasting mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, severe depression or anxiety, OCD, eating disorder or PTSD.
No formal diagnosis is required to access this service, a professional can make a referral for you.
Group support runs every week for up to 14-weeks and sessions take place in outdoor spaces located throughout Bradford District and Craven. One-to-one support is also available.
Where does the group support take place?
The service is based in outdoor locations throughout Bradford District and Craven. We currently have group support taking place in Wibsey and Horton and one-to-one support is being delivered throughout Bradford district and Craven. We expect to have more group support locations as the service develops.
How do I access Nature in Mind support?
You can ask a professional to complete a referral form on your behalf.
Once your referral is complete we will be in touch to organise a get to know you session.
Nature in Mind is a programme of services led by Bradford District and Craven Mind in partnership Bradford District Care Trust.
How can Nature in Mind support my mental wellbeing?
- You will learn to use nature and the outdoors to de-stress, grow in confidence and learn about mental health
- You can discuss your mental health with your peers in a safe, supportive group
