Kirandeep, Crisis Support Worker
Safe Spaces is a lifeline to those who really need it and I feel really grateful to be part of it.
I feel I am saving lives by supporting people with their mental health and giving them hope.
Working here allows me to support isolated people and bring my personal experiences to support others.
At Mind in Bradford I can clearly see how every penny we generate is spent to maximum benefit – and in a community I care passionately about.
I enjoy the autonomous nature of working in mental health and meeting a wide variety of people. I love working with people who are supportive, I am able to say that I am having a bad day.
My journey has been very rewarding, no two days are the same which is what I love most about my role.
Mind in Bradford has grown significantly over the last few years and I have enjoyed being a part of that process that has seen us support more people in more places.
I absolutely love working at Safe Spaces with colleagues who really care about the mental wellbeing of others.
