As winter sets in, many feel the chill beyond the weather.

Behind closed doors, people are fighting battles no one else can see. Anxious thoughts keeps them awake, loneliness lingers and pressures can pile up.

Our services support people at every stage of their mental health journey, where and when they need it most. A supportive phone call, a friendly chat with a cup of tea or a safe space in times of crisis.

Your support this winter can help us make sure people don’t struggle on their own.

Whatever someone is battling, help to bring them warmth, care and connection through the hardest months.

Diane’s story

Dianne contacted us for support after feeling isolated after losing her friend. We referred her to Community Companions befriending service.

A few weeks later they said we’ve got a match for you, a lady called Cai. I could tell her anything really. I now feel able to take on everyday challenges and do stuff that I want to do like take my Mum out.

Donate to our appeal to help fund mental health services that tackle loneliness in the community for people like Diane.

A message from Helen Davey, CEO:

Bradford District and Craven Mind are working in more places than ever before, from community hubs to hospitals offering mental health and wellbeing support to people where and when they need it.

Last year 18,541 people were supported by our brilliant team and almost half of these people accessed support for the first time.

This statistic in itself tells a frightening story about the challenges which exist locally and the impact of an ongoing cost of living crisis on an area already suffering with high levels of poverty and deprivation.

Not only are we supporting more people than ever, but our teams also regularly report that the people they see today have a greater complexity of need than in the past.

Help us to meet the increasing demand for services by making a donation to our appeal.
