Wellbeing and recovery-focused groups based at Bradford District and Craven Mind and other venues in Bradford District.

If you’re aged 18 and over and live in Bradford District and Craven you can access our wellbeing groups.
We have a wide range of groups on offer including wellbeing activities and recovery-focused groups. Groups are delivered by a friendly team of wellbeing practitioners and volunteers who run the groups at Bradford District and Craven Mind and other venues around the district.
How do I access the Wellbeing Service?
To attend our Wellbeing groups, you will need to register with us. The easiest way to register is using our online Wellbeing group referral form.

Wellbeing and Recovery groups
To book onto a group you must be a registered Service Member. Then you can book onto any group by contacting our reception team by email admin@mindinbradford.org.uk or by phone 01274 730815.
Once you are a registered with us we’ll provide you with a timetable of groups you can attend. Find our full range of groups below.
Men’s Wellbeing Group (NEW)
Every Thursday 6pm – 7.30pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
This group offers a supportive space for men to talk openly about mental health, challenge societal stigmas, and connect with others.

Ways to Wellbeing (NEW)
Every Monday 10.30am-11.30am or 11.30am-12.30pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
Every Thursday 10.30 – 11.30 or 11.30 – 12.30pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
Our Ways to Wellbeing groups are relaxed, 1-hour workshops designed to support self-awareness and emotional resilience. Each session explores a different topic — from setting boundaries and managing anxiety to positive thinking and grounding techniques. Offering practical tools, tips and conversations to help you better understand how to support your wellbeing.

Recovery group, Holme Wood
Every Tuesdays, 10am-12pm, Holme Centre (BD4)
User-led recovery-based learning and support around various mental health topics. In partnership with Healthy Lifestyle Solutions and located in Holme Wood at Holme Centre, Madison Avenue, BD4 0JE

Confidence, Assertiveness and Self-Esteem
Every Monday 5.30pm – 7.30pm and every Fridays 12pm – 1.30pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
An 8 week course (not necessary to attend all 8 sessions) looking at how these topics affect our mental health. Useful tools to help boost confidence. Exploring boundaries, types of thinking, positive affirmations and values.

Six weeks of Wellness
Every Monday, 3.30pm – 5pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
Covers a wide range of topics that will help you manage your wellbeing more effectively. Each week focuses on a different topic: five ways to wellbeing; mindfulness and meditation; stress and anxiety; sleep; forgiveness; gratitude.

Understanding Trauma
Every Friday, 2pm-3.30pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
A six part trauma recovery group that helps people to understand the impacts of trauma upon our physical and mental health, and develops coping strategies to help overcome these.

Your Voice
Every Thursday, 12pm-1.30pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
A weekly wellbeing and peer support group for adults aged 18 and over who speak Punjabi and Urdu.
Weekend Wellbeing group
First Saturday of every month (11.30am – 1.30pm), Bradford District and Craven Mind
A confidential space to exploring different topics and activities.

Exploring what mental health means to you, self-care, challenges, warning signs and more.

Peer Support group
Every Tuesday, 2pm-4pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
A confidential space, exploring different topics and activities with Peers.

Wellbeing Support group – Skipton
Every Tuesday, 2.30pm – 4pm, Soroptomist Centre, Skipton
Different topics are discussed each week, including relationship issues, bereavement, domestic abuse, carer’s issues, accessing mental health support, family events and occasions and more.

Therapeutic Arts & Crafts group
Every Wednesday, 2.30pm-4pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
A calm and safe space to enjoy getting crafty over a 12 week period. Being creative can help to boost confidence, reduce anxiety and isolation. This group is a great opportunity to socialize, make new friends and allow your imagination to run free.

Creative Writing group
Every Mondays, 1pm-3pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
A relaxed group that focuses on organising thoughts, processing emotions, boosting imagination and improving communications though the medium of writing.

Ten pin Bowling group
In-person group at Shipley Lanes, Market Street, Shipley
A 10-week bowling course at Shipley Lanes. The sessions run every Friday for 10 weeks from 12pm – 2pm. At week five you’ll get your own bowling ball and bag to keep.

Walk and Talk group
Every Tuesday, 11.30am-1pm, and every Thursday, 3.30pm-5pm, Lister Park
Meeting together at Lister Park twice a week for a casual, social walk and an opportunity to chat with staff and peers. We have walking shoes you can use if needed (size 6 and up).

Board game group
Every Thursday, 2pm-5pm, Bradford District and Craven Mind
This group presents you with the opportunity to sharpen your mind, enhance problem-solving skills, and stimulate your creativity through a variety of board games!
