Youth in Mind is an award-winning partnership of six mental health and wellbeing services that provide one-to-one support and group support to children and young people aged 5 to 19 and up to 25 with additional needs.

Buddies is provided by Bradford Youth Service.
Buddies provides virtual, community, and school-based support to children and young people experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. One-to-one and peer support groups are available for up to 12 weeks.
Buddies use a Youth Work Methodology to support and are child-led in their approach. This means support could be something holistic such as going down to a field to play football. Whatever makes the young person feel comfortable to open up and start discussing what is causing them distress.

Hospital Buddies is provided by Mind in Bradford.
Children and young people aged 5-19 who are in hospital at Bradford Royal Infirmary or Airedale General
Hospital Buddies provides support to children and young people on the children’s wards and in A&E at Bradford Royal Infirmary and Airedale General Hospital.
Support from Hospital Buddies is available seven days a week.
Wellbeing Workers on the wards support children and young people with issues ranging from anxiety around an operation, coming to terms with a chronic health diagnosis, to mental health admissions and crisis.
This service is delivered in partnership with the hospital ward staff and CAMHS to ensure children and young people get the best wrap around care whilst in hospital.
There is no referral process as this is support is available whilst the child or young person is in hospital.

Inspire Young and Healthy People is provided by Inspired Neighbourhoods.
Nurture Group support and one-to-one support for 6 to 12 weeks in Primary and Secondary schools.
The support is based on attachment theory and takes a person-centred approach to early intervention support for social, emotional and mental health.

M.A.G.I.C is provided by Brathay.
M.A.G.I.C is a flexible one-to-one support service for children and young people experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
M.A.G.I.C uses an integrated coaching and mentoring approach to follow the lead of the children and young people they are supporting.
Allowing them to explore their inner world at a pace that is safe for them and giving them an opportunity to unpack difficult emotions that may be holding them back from reaching their full potential.

Mighty Minds is provided by SELFA.
A combination of one-to-one and group support for children and young people experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. Mighty Minds helps with building confidence in recognising emotions and developing positive ways to manage them.
One-to-one support
6 to 12 sessions of one-to-one support are available with a mentor who will help the young person to build positive coping strategies.

We regret to announce that Mind in Bradford must temporarily close our waiting lists for support from the WRAP service. This means we cannot accept new referrals for those services for now.

WRAP groups offer a safe and fun space to make friends, play games, do art work and enjoy good mood foods. WRAP explores how to feel better, stay well, cope with difficult times and challenging feelings and achieve goals.
