Maddie’s Climbing Challenge raises £600!

Maddie is a passionate young climber from Bradford who turned her love for climbing into a four-day charity challenge, to support Bradford District and Craven Mind.

Maddie’s motivation is deeply personal. Having experienced anxiety herself and seeing loved ones face mental health struggles she wanted to do something that combined her sport with giving back to others.

Her aim was to visit all eight Depot Climbing Centres across the UK in four days, completing at least 15 climbs at each centre — a total of 120 climbs!

She started her challenge in Birmingham, climbing then at centres based in Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester and finishing at her local climbing centre, Pudsey Depot in Leeds.

Maddie’s raised an incredible £600 from her challenge which could fund 40 calls to our Guide-Line helpline.
