This year, as part of our new Hope and Light service, we are excited to share events happening over Ramadan, delivered in partnership between BDC Mind, Roshni Ghar and Ihsaan.
Ihsaan are hosting the Pearls of Wisdom events, starting Saturday 1st March, and happening every Saturday during Ramadan. These gatherings will explore pressing mental health challenges within our communities and how to navigate them using Islamic Psychology—both during Ramadan and beyond.
Roshni Ghar are hosting a community Iftar in Keighley for service users and their dependants.
The wisdoms shared will go over OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder): Working through negative mind traps. You will learn an overview of how Islam demonstrates how to manage this condition as well as how to deal with symptoms of negative thinking and mind traps.
The wisdoms shared will go over nurturing yourself through self care. You will learn an overview of how Islam demonstrates how to manage the self, how to nurture and nourish the soul, as well as how to deal with the nafs and keeping your lower self in check.
