We are looking for a Team Leader and a Crisis Support Worker to join our award-winning Safe Spaces team at our Bradford Hub in Central Bradford.

Crisis Support Worker - Salary up to £24,540

Crisis Support Worker

The role

You will be part of a team of Crisis Support Workers delivering mainly one-to-one support to clients over the telephone or face to face at one of our Bradford Hub.

You will report directly to a Team Leader and will support people to regain control over their lives and access further sources of support. The role is emotionally demanding due to the nature of distress experienced by clients.

As a Safe Spaces Crisis Support Worker, you will also have the opportunity to be part of our bank staff, offering ad-hoc relief cover for absence/annual leave

Salary

Salary scale for Crisis Support Worker £20,450 – £24,540 per annum FTE

Shift pattern

Please specify in your application your shift preferences. 

  • Wednesday 19.10 – 2.30 (6 hrs 50 includes 30 min break) + night time enhancement – office based
  • Thursday 19.10 – 2.30 (6 hrs 50 includes 30 min break) + night time enhancement – office based
  • Saturday alt weeks 12:00 – 19:20 (6 hrs 50 includes 30 min break)
  • Saturday 11.30 – 2.30 (3 hrs potential to work from home)

What we offer

  • Base: Kenburgh House, Central Bradford, with occasional travel across the district
  • Responsible to: Service Manager / Team Leader
  • Annual Leave: 25 days pro-rata
  • Pension: We operate a contributory pension scheme which you will be auto-enrolled into (subject to the conditions of the scheme)
  • Probationary period: Six months

Team Leader

The role

Mind in Bradford are looking for Team Leaders to work within our Safe Spaces crisis service.

Salary

Salary scale for Team Leader  £23,517 – £26,585 per annum FTE     

Shift pattern

The team leader role can be split into two roles of two shifts or one person could work all four shifts. Please specify in your application. 

  • Monday 19:00 – 02:30 (weekly)
  • Tuesday 19:00 – 02:30 (weekly)
  • Wednesday 19:00 – 02:30 (weekly)
  • Friday 19:00 – 02:30 (alternate weeks)
  • Saturday 19:00 – 02:30 (alternate weeks)

  • Have experience of working with children, young people and adults in a health, social care or any other relevant setting
  • Have a good knowledge of services across the Bradford District & Craven commitment to excellence
  • Have excellent communication skills and feel confident in supporting people in a clear, meaningful and non-judgemental way
  • Are confident in recognising and responding to risk and safeguarding concerns
  • Have an ability to take initiative and be proactive in solutions
  • Have excellent organisational and IT skills
