Mind in Bradford’s Summer of FUNdraising!

Ilkley Food Festival

At the beginning of the summer our team of lovely volunteers returned to Ilkley Food Festival to sell raffle tickets, soak up the sun and talk all things mental health. As the festival’s official charity partner, we raised an astonishing £6,000. Bring on next year!

Bingley Weekender

Our festival season didn’t stop there as we attended Bingley Weekender for the first time this year! We joined the likes of Noel Gallagher and Kate Nash, to spread some glitter and kindness amongst the muddy crowds.

Peter’s Trail Marathon

In June, friend of Mind in Bradford, Peter Colman, ran his third marathon; this time taking on the mountainous terrain of the Lakeland Trails. On top of this fantastic achievement, which he completed on his birthday, Peter has raised an incredible £2,695 for Mind in Bradford.

Andrew’s Big BBQ

In July, Andrew Baggaley hosted Bradford’s barbeque of the summer, raising £760!

Martin’s Moroccan Trek

Martin Cuthbert is currently taking on the 26km Mount Toubkal Trek in Morocco in memory of Amy and in aid Mind in Bradford! Martin has already raised over £1,000 so far and still counting!

Xpand get muddy for mental health!

A big thank you to our friends over at Xpand who have chosen us as their charity of the year! The Xpandables have already completed a Championship Dragon Boat Race, the Leeds Tough Mudder and will be taking on 600 Mile September too!

A HUGE thank you goes out to all of you who have put in the hard work this summer!

Grab your walking boots, your goggles or your cycling helmet! It’s time to go the distance for better mental health.

The challenge is simple. You can sign-up as an individual or as a team and tackle 600 miles during the month of September in whichever way you choose.

The Great Yorkshire Abseil

Will you face your fears for your local mental health charity?

On Sunday 10 September we’re challenging you to zipline between the iconic 45ft high Ilkley Moor boulders, and then embark on a 50ft abseil down ‘the Cow’. You don’t want to miss this one!

Find out more here.

The difference you make

Your fundraising makes an incredible difference to our community.

  • £1,000 could provide over 40 children and young people aged 8 to 19 with a session of one-to-one support from our Know Your Mind service.
  • £500 could support 12 people with a 4-week wellbeing and recovery group to tackle their grief, trauma or depression.
