We regret to announce that Mind in Bradford must temporarily close our waiting lists for support from the Know Your Mind and Know Your Mind Plus services. This means we cannot accept new referrals for those services for now.
Know Your Mind support for children and young people with their mental health
Know Your Mind supports children and young people in the Bradford central area who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing.
To access the Know Your Mind service you must live, go to school in, or attend a GP surgery in postcodes starting with BD1 up to BD9, not including BD4 or BD6.
Know Your Mind can provide you with up to 8-weeks of 1:1 support with a Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Worker. To access support you must be aged between 8-19 or up to 25 with additional needs.
What happens after completing your referral form?
Once we’ve received your referral form a Community Wellbeing Worker will be in touch for a ‘get to know you’ session, this is an informal chat over the phone so we can find out more.
There is a waiting list for our one-to-one support service but while you wait you can access our weekly Mind Zone group for up to 8-weeks if you are aged 13-18.

Group support for 8-weeks

Mind Zone is a weekly wellbeing group for young people aged 13 to 18 based at Bradford City FC Wellbeing Hub.
The group runs every Monday from 4.30pm till 6.00pm.
It’s a great way to meet other young people experiencing similar things in a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment.
You can attend the group for up to 8-weeks. You don’t have to wait for your whilst for your 1:1 support to start to attend, you can join straight away after completing a referral form.

Our Community Wellbeing Workers will deliver your one-to-one support for up to 8-weeks, they also run our Mind Zone group.

Training and Talks
We can deliver free mental health awareness sessions to children and young people via assemblies and talks in your schools, colleges, clubs, groups and services. We can also provide free training on children’s mental health to people who work with children and young people. Get in touch with us for more information: [email protected]
