Youth in Mind is a collaborative children and young people’s (CYP) mental health service, funded by Bradford District and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) through Future in Mind. It is a partnership between local authority and voluntary sector providers, driven by a shared vision:
To promote, protect and improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people living in Bradford District and Craven.
In line with the aims of Youth in Mind, we want to ensure our programme is accessible and engaging for all CYP, and that we are recognising and responding to individual needs in a person-centred way. In November 2021, Mind in Bradford completed an insight review of Youth in Mind which highlighted uptake of services by CYP from minoritised ethnic groups varies across the different services.
In response to this and to improve our reach within diverse communities, we are seeking applications for an organisation to review current engagement of CYP from minoritised ethnic groups and make recommendations to increase accessibility.
”This is a really exciting opportunity for an organisation to help shape the improvement journey for children and young people’s mental health services, and to drive a solution-focussed approach to accessibility and engagement. ”
Helen Ioannou, Service Director
The project will review both the Youth in Mind programme as a whole and the 8-10 services individually, to identify good practice, gaps and areas for improvement.
This will be achieved via:
Following this analysis, a comprehensive audit and report will be submitted to Mind in Bradford, summarising findings and putting forward recommendations for improving the programme’s engagement as a whole and for the individual services.
