Before Christmas, the Community Champions at a local Morrisons organised a huge food donation for Mind in Bradford.
Community Champions are Morrisons colleagues who are on hand to support small, local charities wherever they can. Our Administrator and Project Coordinator, Laura, got in touch with the Community Champions at Morrisons Mayo Avenue, and spoke to them about our plans for making Christmas Day hampers for clients.
The Community Champions were keen to get involved and support us in our efforts, and offered to make a food donation. Laura arrived to collect the donation – a whole trolley’s worth of food!
Some of the food went into our Christmas hampers, but the majority has been made into food parcels for any clients struggling to buy food. Some food has also gone to the Sanctuary for any users of the service.
Laura said:
We were very grateful for the donation. We would like to thank the Morrisons Community Champions once again for their generosity – it was far beyond what we were expecting!
