Service Manager April speaks to BBC Radio Bradford
Service Manager April recently spoke to BBC Radio Bradford about how to look after your mental health in lockdown.
The Government announced a national lockdown on the evening of Monday 4 January. April spoke to BBC Radio Bradford presenter Charlie Smith on the morning of Tuesday 5 January. She shared advice on how to look after your wellbeing in lockdown, with her key tips including getting creative and staying connected.
April also spoke about the Sanctuary, Guide-Line, and the other support services we offer. Her key message was that it’s okay not to be okay.
April said:
You are not alone. There are so many people across our country struggling, and there have been for the past year. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, and sometimes it is just reaching out and saying ‘I’m not okay’. At Mind in Bradford, we have people here ready to talk.
